Help at home after a hospital stay
Non-medical support for the first days and weeks home from the hospital or rehab: meals, housekeeping, errands, company, and someone there overnight.
Coming home after a hospital or rehab stay is a relief, and it's also a vulnerable time. There are prescriptions to pick up, follow-up appointments to keep, meals to make and a home that's been empty. Our caregivers take care of the household side so your loved one can rest and recover.
This is non-medical support. We don't provide nursing, therapy or hands-on personal care. If your loved one's doctor orders home health services, our caregivers work alongside that team, covering the hours in between.

- Getting the home ready: groceries in, fresh linens, clear walkways
- Meals prepared to the diet the doctor recommended, in a kosher kitchen
- Pharmacy pickups and other errands
- Accompaniment to follow-up appointments

When should we call you?
Call (786) 453-6523 while your loved one is still in the hospital or rehab. We'll plan care with you so it can begin when they come home.
Is this short-term?
It can be. Many families need help for a few weeks after discharge. We offer short-term and long-term care, and the schedule can step down as your loved one gets stronger.
Do your caregivers help with bathing, dressing or medications?
No. Simcha Home Care provides non-medical companion and homemaker services only. Our caregivers don't provide hands-on personal care such as bathing, dressing, help with eating or toileting, lifting or transfers, or giving medications. If your loved one needs that kind of help, we're glad to work alongside a licensed home health provider.
