Escort to shul
Staying part of the kehilla matters. Our caregivers walk with your loved one to shul on Shabbat, holidays and weekdays, and to shiurim, simchas and community events.
Caregivers who speak your loved one's language
Our caregivers speak English, Russian, Hebrew and Spanish. For many older adults, a conversation in their first language is the most comforting part of the day.
Questions families ask
Do your caregivers know how to keep a kosher kitchen?
Yes. Our caregivers keep kosher kitchens and follow your family's own standards for meat and dairy, dishes, and the products and hechsherim you buy. Tell us your practices and any guidance from your rabbi during the consultation.
Can a caregiver stay with my parent over Shabbat?
Yes. We offer 24-hour care, including Shabbat coverage from before candle lighting through Havdalah, with caregivers who follow your family's Shabbat practices in the home.
Can a caregiver walk with my parent to shul?
Yes. We escort clients to shul on Shabbat, holidays and weekdays. We're a non-medical service, so caregivers accompany and keep company; they don't provide hands-on help with walking or transfers.
Do you have Hebrew-speaking caregivers?
Yes. Our caregivers speak English, Russian, Hebrew and Spanish, and we match a caregiver who speaks your loved one's preferred language.
Do your caregivers help with bathing, dressing or medications?
No. Simcha Home Care provides non-medical companion and homemaker services only. Our caregivers don't provide hands-on personal care such as bathing, dressing, help with eating or toileting, lifting or transfers, or giving medications. If your loved one needs that kind of help, we're glad to work alongside a licensed home health provider.
